GIS-Forum 2018 organizers invite students of higher education institutions to take part in the first stage of the two-year competition of student works on geoinformatics.
Participants of the contest are invited to choose one practical-oriented task for the implementation of the competition in the framework of the competition from the list of the partners suggested by the partner companies. In 2018 during the GIS-Forum students will have the opportunity to present to the specialists of the companies their plans for the implementation of the selected task.
Students, whose implementation plans will be approved by experts, within a year will be able to undergo an internship in one of the partner companies of the forum to receive consultations and assistance from practitioners to implement the task and present the results of their work to the second decisive stage of the contest, which will be held in 2019 year.
Consultants, internships and assessments of the student’s work at all stages of the competition are carried out by company specialists, directly implement GIS projects or are engaged in the selection of specialists for working in GIS projects. Therefore, participation in the competition is an opportunity to get acquainted personally with representatives of companies working in this industry, to expand their knowledge, gain experience in implementing projects, increase their chances of finding a good job.
