In little less than two weeks, on June 4th, an unprecedented in Ukrainian terms event will take place in Kyiv. This will be Map Solutions conference. The purpose of this event is to gather on one stage the leading developers of map and geolocation services with significant experience in this area. Developers and managers from Yandex, HERE, Mapbox, CartoDB, MAPS.ME, OsmAnd, buzzstreets are going to share their experience. The conference will be of interest primarily, to professionals whose work is related to navigation, digital map creation and similar services.
Particular emphasis of Map Solutions is made on topics about working with OSM. For example Andrey Golovin, Mapbox expert, will talk about Mapbox working to improve the OSM data for navigation. Ilya Zverev from MAPS.ME is going to share experience working with OpenStreetMap. Vladimir Agafonkin, a well known person in the OSM community, will also give a talk. A talk on the creation of an open source smartphone application – OsmAnd – will be made by CEO Viktar Scherb. The talks will be presented in English and Russian.
The conference is organized by Intellias, a Ukrainian outsourcing company, which has experience in creating such events. Last year Intellias has gathered more than 100 programmers interested in developing the geolocation service in Lviv. Because of the conference popularity, the organizers decided to make it regular and nationwide. The conference will be held in the center of Kyiv, in BC “Parus”.
Organizers promise the most comfortable atmosphere with the ability to communicate with experienced professionals during coffee breaks, lunch and the after party.
